United Airlines pet policy allows traveling with only a couple of pets accompanied with their respective owners. Therefore the airline encourages passengers traveling with pets in the cabin to reserve space beforehand. Pet reservations in the airline can be done up to 30 days in advance and 5 days prior to departure.
Pet in cabin:
Pets traveling in the cabin should be properly secured in a crate, which must fit under the seat in front of you. The pet tag that will be provided by the check in agent is extremely vital. The airline allows only one pet in the cabin which will be paid for.
Pet in cargo:
United Airlines does not provide the service of making the pets travel as cargo.
Lufthansa airlines:
Pets in Lufthansa airlines are allowed to travel in cabin as a carry-on baggage as well as in cargo space. It is best advised for the passengers to not delay the process of reserving a space for their pets to ensure a hassle free journey.
Pets in Cabin:
Pet parents can get their canine or feline companion along in the cabin by registering them as a carry on baggage. There is a strict weight limit of 8 kgs on the pets allowed in the cabin space. It is expected for the pet parent passenger to register their pets no later than 72 hours before the flight is scheduled for departure.
Pets as cargo:
If your pet exceeds the weight limit of 8kgs they will be registered as excess baggage and transported in the air conditioned cargo hold. Travelers can also get in touch with the service centre up to 24 hours prior to departure. In both cases, passengers should get their pets registered within 72 hours before the departure time.
British airways:

Aer Lingus:
Cabin and cargo travel is available for pets in Aer Lingus. Pet passengers are expected to book a slot for their pets with the help of a freight forwarder. The pet regulations are expected to fall in place with the rules of Ireland, European Union, UK, USA and Canada to ensure hassle free entry into the country.
While taking your pets along, it is vital for the passengers to notify the airlines no less than 24 hours from the scheduled time of flight departure. The pet should meet the weight requirement set by the airlines and must be 15 weeks old. Aer Lingus has prohibited the air travel of dangerous breeds of dogs and cats.
Air Europa:
Air Europa pet policy allows travel of pets in the cabin along with a guardian or the owner. The guardian is expected to arrive at the airport with sufficient time in hand to complete all the necessary check-in procedures that are required while traveling with a pet. The airline reserves the right to refuse the pet aboard in case of non-compliance with Air Europa or any of their destination countries.
Each passenger is allowed to carry up to 5 pets, cabin and cargo hold included. Passengers with more than 5 pets can get in touch with Air Europa’s cargo department. Pets should be over 3 months old to fly. One container can hold a maximum of 3 pets. The weight limit of each pet is 8 kgs, which along with the container should not go over 10 kgs.
Alaska airlines:
Alaska Airlines allows pets to travel in cabin as well as in cargo. Small pets can travel with their guardian or owner in the cabin which is subject to space availability. A maximum of 2 pets are allowed within the cabin which is again subject to availability of the adjacent seat. Along with dogs and cats, rabbits and household birds are also allowed to fly in the main cabin.
Alaska Airlines offers the facility of climate control cargo and baggage compartment for some fee. The weight limit on the pet carrier and the pet combined is 150 lbs. Dogs and cats should be above the age of 8 weeks. Pets travelling in the baggage compartment should meet the right carrier size requirement. American airlines:
American airlines allow pets to fly in the cabin along with their owner. They also have the option of cargo travel for pets. Depending on the compliance with the airline’s pet policy, only cats and dogs are allowed to travel in the cabin. In case of cabin travel, the airline allows a single small dog secured in a pet carrier which can fit under the seat in front of you. However, pets are not allowed in business or first class due to lack of space.
EasyJet airlines:

Eva airlines:
Eva airlines only allows dogs, cats and rabbits in their flight. They will be included as checked -in baggage in the cargo compartment. Cabin travel for pets is not permitted in this airline. However, service dogs are permitted in the cabin. Pregnant pets and pets under the age of 4 months old are prohibited from traveling on the flights.
Make sure the authorities are aware of your pets traveling with you at least 48 hours prior to the time of departure. The pet parent will have to fill out a live animal declaration form. This form is to be submitted at the airport counter while checking in your pet.
